| Purpose |
What is the purpose
for our children's ministry?
- We seek to educate our children
to worship and serve the Lord in age appropriate ways, beginning with
manifestations of God's love, leading to salvation and then to discipleship and
service.
- We believe that every child is a
unique miracle in God's creation and it is a privilege to teach them His
scriptural principles.
- It is also an awesome
responsibility and we are committed to utilizing every available resource to
help them become successful Christians.
Our children's ministry addresses five important
areas of ministry needs:
| Worship |
Children need
- to discover what
worship is and how they may honor God with their worship
- opportunities to
participate in meaningful worship experiences on their own level of
understanding.
|
| Evangelism |
Children need
- the opportunity to
hear, understand, and apply the Gospel of our Lord for themselves, on their own
level of understanding, as well as, be encouraged to bring their unchurched
friends into this ministry.
|
| Discipleship |
Children need
- the opportunity to
hear, understand, and apply the Gospel of our Lord for themselves, on their own
level of understanding, as well as, be encouraged to bring their unchurched
friends into this ministry.
It is vitally
important that children
- know what the Bible
says
- know what the Bible
means
- be helped to relate
Truth to their own lives
|
| Ministry Service |
Children need
- the opportunity to
serve the Lord and others.
These opportunities help solidify in the heart
and minds of our children the biblical definition of faith (belief and
service).
|
| Fellowship |
Christian
fellowship is especially important for children in the elementary school years,
when influences of the peer group are increasing. Opportunities to fellowship
with Christian children, teens, and adults can be a significant factor in
helping children respond early to Christ and remain faithful in living for
Him. |
